VEGETATION COMPLAINTS & ABATEMENT
The statewide burn ban take effect May 1st each year. During the burn ban, it is illegal to burn without a CalFire Burn Exemption.- Use of lawnmowers, weedeaters, chainsaws, etc. are permissable however, we recommend you use these responsibly and in the earlier part of the day to avoid the heat
- Cooking fires are permitted
- Camping fires are only allowed within permitted areas (i.e. permitted campgrounds)
- Complaints are anonymous
- Complaints are inspected once a week
- Violators will receive a 1st noice to abate in 30 days
- If not remedied, violators will receive a 2nd notice to abate in 15 days
- If not remedied, violators will receive a citation in accordance with the Fire Code
CANNABIS & HEMP PERMITTING
Please contact the Fire Marshal directly for any cannabis/hemp permitting inquiries.FIRE SPRINKLER PLANS
Fire sprinkler plans must be reviewed and approved by the Fire Marshal.- Plans can be dropped off to the station Monday-Friday 8am-12pm and 1pm-5pm
- There must be 3 sets of plans which include calculations
- Residential plan fees for water type systems start at $270
- Commerical plan fees for water type systems start at $738
- Non-water type systems start at $370

FIRE ALARM PLANS
Fire alarm plans must be reviewed and approved by the Fire Marshal.- Plans can be dropped off to the station Monday-Friday 8am-12pm and 1pm-5pm
- There must be 3 sets of plans
- Plan fees start at $735

SOLAR PLANS
Solar plans must be reviewed and approved by the Fire Marshal.- Plans can be dropped off to the station Monday-Friday 8am-12pm and 1pm-5pm
- There must be 3 sets of plans
- Residential plan fees start at $90
- Commericial plan fees start at $180
- Battery backup fees start $270

WATER STORAGE TANK DIAGRAM
Refer to the following diagram for residential water storage tank guidlines. Water Storage Tank v4-5-2021 Water Storage Tank plans must be reviewed and approved by the Fire Marshal.- Plans can be dropped off to the station Monday-Friday 8am-12pm and 1pm-5pm
- There must be 3 sets of plans
- Fees start at $550

MITIGATION FEES (fire fees for construction)
Fire mitigation fees are paid for all new construction or additions. They must be paid before city or county agencies will issue a building permit.- Plans can be brought to the station Monday-Friday 8am-12pm and 1pm-5pm
- There must be 1 set of plans which have the building plan and the site plan. Hand drawn plans will only be accepted if they are neatly drawn to scale showing all measurements, setbacks, etc. The county and city building departments must accept the plans being provided.
- Mitigation fees are $1.00/sqft of all covered areas including covered decks, porches, carport
